AI STEAM Lab is a program owned and operated by Hill Innovation Learning Labs Foundation, Inc. (“HILL Foundation”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Throughout these Terms, “AI STEAM Lab,” “HILL Foundation,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to Hill Innovation Learning Labs Foundation, Inc. and its AI STEAM Lab program, as applicable.
These Terms apply to your use of the AI STEAM Lab website and digital platforms, registration and lab sign-in systems, surveys and assessments, online resources, and participation in our in-person or virtual labs, workshops, training programs, events, and other learning experiences (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing our Services, registering for or signing into a lab, submitting information through our platforms, or participating in an AI STEAM Lab program, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms.
1. Educational Purpose
AI STEAM Lab provides educational programs, technology training, workshops, online resources, workforce development activities, community events, and related learning experiences.
Our programs may include the use of artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, third-party software, online platforms, computers, mobile technology, and other digital tools.
AI STEAM Lab provides educational and informational content only. Participation does not guarantee employment, certification, admission to another program, business results, financial outcomes, or any other specific result.
2. Website and Digital Platform Use
Users agree to use our websites, applications, registration systems, lab technology, accounts, devices, and other digital resources lawfully and responsibly.
Users may not intentionally:
- interfere with or disrupt our websites, systems, devices, networks, or programs;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or technology;
- use our technology or Services for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, or inappropriate purposes;
- upload malicious software or content;
- impersonate another person or provide intentionally false information; or
- use AI STEAM Lab resources in a manner that infringes upon the rights of others.
We may restrict or terminate access when necessary to protect participants, staff, technology, data, partners, or the integrity of our programs.
3. Lab Registration and Sign-In
Participants may be asked to register or sign in before accessing an AI STEAM Lab program, facility, device, platform, or learning experience.
Information collected during registration or sign-in may include your name, email address, age or age range, ZIP code or general location, demographic information, program interests, attendance information, survey responses, assessment results, and other information relevant to program administration and evaluation.
Accurate registration and attendance information helps us operate our programs, measure participation and outcomes, improve our curriculum, and fulfill appropriate reporting requirements.
Participants should not share account credentials or knowingly allow another person to access restricted systems using their identity.
4. In-Person Labs and Events
Participants attending AI STEAM Lab programs are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and follow reasonable instructions provided by staff, instructors, volunteers, venue representatives, and program partners.
Harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, intentional disruption, unsafe conduct, misuse of equipment, or inappropriate behavior toward participants, staff, volunteers, instructors, or partners is prohibited.
We reserve the right to deny admission, restrict access, or remove a participant when reasonably necessary for safety, security, program integrity, or violation of these Terms.
Participants are responsible for appropriately using equipment and technology made available during programs and for promptly notifying staff of damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
5. Minors
AI STEAM Lab serves learners of different ages. Certain programs may have specific age requirements.
A parent or legal guardian may be required to provide consent before a minor participates in certain programs, uses particular platforms, or provides personal information.
For children under 13, we will obtain parental or guardian consent before knowingly collecting personal information where required by applicable law.
Parents or guardians may contact us regarding access to, correction of, or deletion of their child’s personal information.
6. Artificial Intelligence and Third-Party Technology
Our programs may introduce participants to AI platforms, software, websites, applications, and technology operated by third parties.
Third-party services may have their own terms of use, privacy policies, age requirements, and data practices. Participants are responsible for complying with those requirements when creating or using third-party accounts.
AI-generated information may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate. Participants are encouraged to independently evaluate AI-generated outputs, protect confidential information, and use human judgment when making decisions based on AI-assisted work.
HILL Foundation does not control and is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, content, or practices of third-party platforms.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, AI STEAM Lab curriculum, educational materials, graphics, program content, branding, resources, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Hill Innovation Learning Labs Foundation, Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Participants may use materials provided to them for personal educational purposes unless otherwise stated.
Materials may not be reproduced, commercially distributed, sold, republished, or presented as another organization’s proprietary curriculum without prior written permission.
Ownership of work independently created by participants remains with the participant, subject to any separate terms applicable to third-party platforms used to create that work.
8. Program Changes and Availability
We may modify, reschedule, relocate, suspend, or discontinue programs, events, website features, technology, resources, or other Services when necessary.
Program schedules, instructors, technology, curriculum, locations, and availability may change.
9. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Responsibility
Participation in technology-based and in-person learning activities involves ordinary risks, including risks associated with using computers, internet services, third-party platforms, equipment, travel to and from program locations, and participation in group activities.
Participants agree to follow applicable safety instructions.
To the extent permitted by law, HILL Foundation is not responsible for losses or damages resulting from a participant’s misuse of technology, violation of third-party terms, reliance on AI-generated information, unauthorized disclosure of personal or confidential information by the participant, or failure to follow program instructions.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be waived.
10. Donations and Charitable Contributions
Hill Innovation Learning Labs Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Donations made to HILL Foundation are voluntary and support our charitable mission, programs, operations, and community impact. Charitable contributions are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
The deductibility of a contribution may depend on the donor’s individual circumstances and whether goods or services were provided in exchange for the contribution. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding their specific tax situation.
11. Affiliate and Third-Party Links
Our websites or educational resources may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services. Some links may be affiliate links, which means HILL Foundation may receive compensation if a purchase is made through the link, at no additional cost to the purchaser.
The inclusion of a third-party link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of the third party or its products or services.
PRIVACY POLICY
12. Information We Collect
We respect the privacy of our participants and website visitors.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect information including:
- name and contact information;
- registration and attendance information;
- age or age range;
- ZIP code or general geographic information;
- demographic information voluntarily provided;
- educational, career, or program interests;
- survey and feedback responses;
- assessment and learning progress information;
- website and platform usage information; and
- communications you send to us.
We may also collect aggregated or non-identifying information about participation, program engagement, and technology usage.
13. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- register participants and manage program attendance;
- provide access to labs, learning platforms, resources, and events;
- deliver and improve educational programming;
- understand participant needs and learning outcomes;
- conduct assessments and program evaluation;
- measure community and workforce impact;
- develop future programs, tools, curriculum, products, and services;
- conduct research and organizational planning;
- satisfy appropriate grant, funding, partnership, and reporting requirements;
- communicate information about programs, opportunities, events, and resources; and
- maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our Services.
Where appropriate, information used for external reporting, research, or impact measurement may be aggregated or de-identified.
14. Surveys and Assessments
AI STEAM Lab may use surveys, assessments, feedback forms, and other evaluation tools to understand participant experiences, skills, interests, confidence, learning progress, and program outcomes.
Unless otherwise stated, participation in optional surveys is voluntary. Certain assessments or information may be required when they are an integral part of a specific program, credential, learning pathway, or service.
We may use aggregated or de-identified findings for program development, research, impact reporting, grant reporting, partnership development, and other activities supporting HILL Foundation’s charitable mission.
15. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share information with service providers, technology vendors, instructors, contractors, program partners, or other organizations when reasonably necessary to operate our programs and Services.
These parties are expected to handle information appropriately and use it for authorized purposes.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the safety or rights of participants or others, or to protect HILL Foundation and its systems.
Aggregated or de-identified information may be shared with funders, community partners, researchers, employers, educational institutions, government entities, or other stakeholders for evaluation, research, workforce development, and impact reporting.
16. Communications
When you provide contact information, we may use it to communicate with you about the program for which you registered and, where permitted, related AI STEAM Lab programs, resources, events, and opportunities.
You may opt out of promotional email communications using the unsubscribe option provided in those communications or by contacting us.
17. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse.
However, no website, internet transmission, database, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
18. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you.
You may also request to opt out of certain communications or voluntary data collection.

19. Updates to These Terms and Privacy Policy
We may update these Terms and Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our programs, technology, practices, or legal requirements.
The current version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
